Ryan Reynolds is reportedly facing growing scrutiny in Hollywood as the fallout from wife Blake Lively's legal battle with Justin Baldoni continues to affect both their personal and professional lives.

According to The US Sun, industry insiders claim Reynolds' reputation has been impacted by the high-profile legal dispute, with some studios allegedly becoming more cautious about pursuing projects involving the actor.

The publication also reported that Reynolds and Lively's absence from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding has prompted further speculation about changes within their Hollywood circle.

Swift and Lively had maintained a close friendship for years, with Reynolds also becoming part of the singer's inner circle. However, reports have suggested that the friendship became strained after Swift was drawn into the legal dispute involving Lively and Baldoni.

Reynolds has not secured another leading film role in the 18 months since his last major release, while several projects linked to his production company, Maximum Effort, have reportedly been shelved despite an existing first-look agreement with Paramount.

One source claims, "People have seen a new side of Ryan after the legal proceedings – and studios are distancing themselves from him. He's in a difficult position now and some of the biggest names are reluctant to work with him."

The source added, "The studios don't want to invest millions into a project that will ultimately backfire."

Another insider claimed documents released during the court proceedings had altered perceptions of Reynolds within the industry, saying, "It's affected his reputation as Hollywood's 'nice guy' and there are concerns that he might bring unnecessary complications onto productions."

Despite the reported concerns, Reynolds remains closely associated with Marvel's Deadpool franchise following the commercial success of Deadpool & Wolverine, which grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide.

Earlier this year, Reynolds said he had already written ideas for another instalment, explaining, "I have a few things written that I love. We'll figure out when the time is right."

The publication also cited unnamed sources claiming Marvel executives have discussed alternative options for the franchise, although Reynolds has "not been entirely dismissed". Those claims have not been independently verified.

The reported uncertainty follows the lengthy legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni over It Ends With Us.

Lively sued Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, alleging sexual harassment and claiming he orchestrated a retaliatory smear campaign against her. Baldoni denied the allegations and later filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds, alleging they sought to damage his reputation and career.

According to the report, the countersuit was later dismissed before the case concluded in a settlement.

During the proceedings, private text messages attributed to Reynolds became public through court filings.

In one message, he allegedly referred to Baldoni as a "thoroughbred, predatory fraudster" and an "inexplicably toxic mess". Lively and Reynolds have disputed allegations made against them throughout the legal process.
