Blake Lively involvement in Taylor Swift wedding under speculation as texts resurface

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were spotted in Upstate New York while Taylor Swift's reported wedding celebrations with Travis Kelce took place in New York City, as renewed attention focused on previously revealed text messages between the former friends.

According to the report, the couple attended their six-year-old daughter Betty's horse show in Lake Placid on July 2, approximately 300 miles from Madison Square Garden, where Taylor's reported rehearsal dinner was believed to be taking place ahead of the wedding celebrations.

TMZ reported that Blake and Ryan watched Betty finish second in her competition. Blake wore a navy halter-neck top with denim shorts, while Ryan was dressed in a white T-shirt, khaki trousers, a straw hat and sunglasses.

Meanwhile, several celebrities, including Jack Antonoff, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper and Abigail Anderson, were reportedly seen arriving at Madison Square Garden for the private event.

Blake's absence prompted discussion among fans, particularly because Taylor is the godmother to Blake and Ryan's daughters, James, Inez and Betty.

The report also revisited text messages that became public during Blake's legal dispute with Justin Baldoni. In one message sent in December 2024, Blake wrote, "I have no reason to ask, but I donno, I've been feeling like I should...is everything okay?"

She continued, "I do want to know everything is good, so I'm asking. I always want the opportunity to be a better friend if there's something I unintentionally did."

Taylor replied by acknowledging changes in their friendship, writing, "I think I'm just exhausted in every avenue of my life and in recent months had been feeling a little bit of a shift in the way you talk to me."

She added, "It's felt like I was reading a mass corporate email sent to 200 employees... I just kinda miss my funny, dark, normal-speaking friend who talks to me as herself."

According to the report, Blake apologised after receiving Taylor's response. Neither Taylor Swift nor Blake Lively has publicly commented further on the current status of their friendship.
