Taylor Swift's vintage-inspired engagement ring was co-designed by Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift's engagement ring has become one of the most talked-about celebrity jewellery pieces in recent months, with new details revealing that fiancé Travis Kelce played a key role in designing the bespoke diamond ring.

According to People, Kelce collaborated with jewellery designer Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry to create the ring, which features a vintage-inspired old mine brilliant-cut diamond estimated to weigh between seven and 10 carats. The centre stone is flanked by half-moon and round side diamonds, all set in 18-carat yellow gold with intricate hand-engraved detailing.

The ring's value has been estimated at anywhere between $125,000 and $5 million, depending on the diamond's quality and appraisal. Jewellery experts say the antique-style old mine cut has become increasingly popular for its timeless appearance and distinctive sparkle.

Lubeck revealed that Swift had introduced her to Kelce around 18 months before the proposal, allowing the NFL star to work closely with the designer to create a ring that reflected the singer's personal style. The result was a handcrafted piece intended to feel sentimental rather than extravagant.

Swift has also shared how much the ring means to her, jokingly referring to it as a "hardware upgrade" while emphasising that its emotional significance outweighs its monetary value. Speaking about the engagement, she said, "You look at it and you're like, 'I'm going to hang out with him forever.'"

The couple announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, after nearly two years together. Their romance began in 2023 after Kelce famously revealed on his New Heights podcast that he had tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City.

As anticipation builds for the couple's upcoming wedding, Swift's engagement ring has already become one of the defining celebrity jewellery designs of the decade, inspiring renewed interest in vintage-cut diamonds and yellow gold settings.
