Actor Adnan Siddiqui delighted fans with a musical performance on social media, blending compositions from two different eras by legendary composers AR Rahman and Shankar Jaikishan while inviting followers to compare the two melodies.

Sharing a video on Instagram, Siddiqui—who is also an accomplished flautist—played the two tunes on the flute and asked viewers whether they noticed similarities between them.

“Two musical moments. Two different eras. One crafted by the maestro AR Rahman, the other by the legendary duo Shankar Jaikishan,” he wrote.

Reflecting on the connection between the compositions, the actor added: “Decades apart, yet when you merge them, they seem to speak the same musical language. Coincidence, inspiration, or proof that great melodies are timeless?”

He also injected humour into the post by acknowledging an unexpected accompaniment from his pet parrot. “What do you think… do they sound similar? Please excuse my parrot whistling (Gudday Raja) in the background :).”

The performance drew an enthusiastic response from fans, with many praising both Siddiqui's flute playing and the seamless blend of the two melodies.

One user commented, “Nothing beats the soothing sound of a flute and, to top that off, with birds chirping in the background is next level.”

Several fans also affectionately referred to Siddiqui as "Badshah Salamat," the title associated with his role as host of the digital reality show Tamasha, reflecting the character's lasting popularity among viewers.

Beyond acting, Siddiqui has built a reputation for his flute performances, sharing renditions of romantic classics, patriotic songs such as Ye Watan Tumhara Hai, and memorable television drama soundtracks on social media. He has also showcased his musical talent at the Pakistan Literature Festival in Quetta.
