Lola Tung has officially joined the cast of Please, the upcoming A24 feature from writer and director Halina Reijn.
The project marks the latest collaboration between Reijn and the acclaimed independent studio following the success of Bodies Bodies Bodies and Babygirl.
According to Deadline, details surrounding Please remain largely under wraps, with the plot and Tung's role yet to be revealed. She joins a growing ensemble cast that already includes Gracie Abrams, Tom Burke, Connor Storrie and David Jonsson.
Reijn wrote the screenplay and will direct the film, while also producing through her Man Up Film banner alongside longtime collaborator David Hinojosa. A24 is producing and financing the project, with Zach Nutman serving as executive producer.
Tung rose to prominence through her starring role as Belly Conklin in Amazon Prime Video's hit coming-of-age series The Summer I Turned Pretty. She is currently filming the feature continuation of the franchise, which is expected to conclude the story introduced in the popular television adaptation.
Beyond the Amazon series, Tung has continued to expand her film career. She recently appeared opposite Lili Reinhart in Forbidden Fruits, which premiered earlier this year, and also featured in Josephine Decker's Chasing Summer, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival.
The actress also has several high-profile projects on the horizon, including The Young People, directed by Osgood Perkins and starring Nicole Kidman and Nico Parker.
Although A24 has not announced a release date or additional story details for Please, the addition of Tung further strengthens the film's ensemble cast. With Halina Reijn once again teaming up with A24, the project is already attracting attention as one of the studio's most anticipated upcoming productions.
