The Orange Is the New Black and Batwoman star posted a video showing herself slipping while walking near her swimming pool. In the footage, Rose appears to lose her footing before striking the edge of the pool and falling into the water. She later revealed that the fall resulted in two broken ribs and required hospital treatment.

Sharing an update with fans, Rose wrote that she had gone "straight to hospital" following the accident and joked that her summer plans had been disrupted by the injury. She also explained that she is using a breathing device as part of her recovery after breaking the lower ribs on her right side.
