Sadie Sink has shared new details about her experience joining Spider-Man: Brand New Day, describing the opportunity as a major milestone in her career and offering insight into working on one of Marvel Studios' biggest productions.

In an interview with NYLON Magazine, the actress said stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe felt unlike any previous project, despite already being familiar with large-scale productions through her role as Max Mayfield in Stranger Things.

"I knew Marvel was a big deal, but it feels really big. These blockbuster movies are a whole different beast," Sink said, reflecting on the scale of the franchise and its global fanbase.

The actress also revealed that she secured her role without an audition after previously working with director Destin Daniel Cretton on the 2017 film The Glass Castle. According to Sink, she did not receive the script for Spider-Man: Brand New Day until she arrived in London to begin filming, with Marvel keeping details about her character closely guarded.

Sink said her experience on Stranger Things prepared her for handling fan speculation and maintaining confidentiality around major story developments. She joked that keeping Marvel secrets was straightforward, saying, "You just don't share the secret."

The actress also praised co-star Tom Holland for making her transition into the franchise easier. She described Holland as welcoming and supportive, adding that both he and the production team helped her quickly feel comfortable despite joining an established cast.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Sink's Marvel debut and continues Peter Parker's story following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. While Marvel has not revealed details about Sink's character, the film is expected to introduce her in a significant role alongside Holland.

The upcoming superhero film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 31 July, with fans continuing to speculate about Sink's role ahead of its release.
