Miley Cyrus has officially become the inspiration for a Barbie doll after Mattel unveiled the Barbie Signature Miley Cyrus Doll, celebrating the singer's career in music, acting and self-expression.
The launch comes one month after Cyrus received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. According to Mattel, the doll recognises the impact she has made as a musician, actress and advocate for self-expression.
Cyrus reacted to seeing the doll for the first time in a video shared by Billboard, expressing her excitement over the finished design.
"I'm obsessed," she said. "Love her! All the details were so thoughtful and so important. Every little piece of this design was a dream, down to the shape of the shoe, the look, the leather jacket, the belt, the hair dimension, the sunglasses."
She added that every element was "purposeful", including the microphone accessory.
"That was very important to me that music stays the priority for me and for my purpose, and so having this microphone is so representative of not just the music but using your voice," Cyrus explained.
The Grammy winner also shared a video on Instagram and TikTok showing her Barbie collection before adding the new doll.
"Barbie represents a personal dream of mine. She's something I'll never outgrow as she evolves with me," she wrote.
Reflecting on her childhood, Cyrus recalled spending time braiding her Barbie dolls' hair and changing their outfits. She said her appreciation for the brand has continued into adulthood.
"As an adult, I treasure my collection and I never take out of the box," she said. "Holding my Barbie in my hands is a true full circle moment."
Cyrus concluded her message by encouraging fans to pursue their ambitions.
"Now you have a little piece of me and every time you hold her, I hope you're reminded that I'm rooting for you to chase your own dreams too. My Barbie, dressed in custom Alaïa for Golden Burning Sun, is available now. xo Miley."
