Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly not expected to attend the upcoming wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, bringing an end to weeks of speculation surrounding a possible royal appearance at the high-profile ceremony.
According to People, the Prince and Princess of Wales will not be among the guests at the wedding despite earlier comments from Prince William that fuelled rumours of an invitation. During a radio interview in May, William jokingly responded "no comment" when asked whether he had been invited before adding that he was "hoping" there might be an invitation. His remarks sparked widespread speculation that the royal couple could attend what is expected to be one of the biggest celebrity weddings of the year.
Although they reportedly will not be present, Prince William and Taylor Swift have shared several public moments over the years. The future king first met the singer at the Centrepoint Winter Whites Gala in 2013, where they joined Jon Bon Jovi for a surprise performance on stage.
More recently, Prince William attended Swift's The Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium in June 2024 alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. Following the show, Swift shared backstage photographs featuring herself, Travis Kelce and members of the royal family, with the images quickly going viral across social media.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025 after dating for two years. Their reported wedding has attracted widespread public attention, with numerous reports suggesting it will feature an extensive guest list and heightened security measures.
While the couple has not publicly confirmed details of the ceremony, reports indicate that Prince William and Kate Middleton will not be among those in attendance, ending one of the biggest rumours surrounding the highly anticipated celebration.
