Qaiser slams Centre over Balochistan crisis
Senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser on Monday launched a scathing attack on the federal government, saying it had utterly failed to address the mounting crises confronting the people, particularly in Balochistan.
Addressing a press conference at the PTI's provincial office in Quetta, Qaiser said there was "no visible writ of the government" in the province. He pointed to frequent blockades of major highways and the persistent sense of insecurity among ordinary citizens as glaring evidence of the deteriorating law and order situation.
"The government has failed to protect the public and restore normalcy," he said.
Qaiser also challenged the legitimacy of the current political dispensation, claiming that the individuals occupying seats in the National Assembly do not represent the true will of the people.
