Gulberg Town unveils Rs3.61b budget
Town Chairman Nusratullah on Monday presented Gulberg Town's Rs3.61 billion budget for fiscal year 2026-27, with a development outlay of Rs1.53 billion.
Addressing the council, Nusratullah termed it "the year of development" and pledged record road construction. He said key focus areas will be education, health, women, and youth initiatives.
Highlighting Gulberg's special initiatives, he said Rs50 million has been allocated for the Education Card, with a major increase to benefit more students. A new gym with separate timings for men and women will be launched, while Town Mobility Services, including shuttle and bicycle stations on link roads, will be introduced.
Other projects include restoration of all government schools, setting up an AI faculty, and inaugurating the Dr A Q Khan Tech Space in coming days. A new health unit in Naseerabad, modeled on Samanabad Primary Health Unit, will be established. Parks, playgrounds, and libraries will also be upgraded.
