Paramount Pictures has released the first official trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3, offering fans a preview of the animated sequel ahead of its theatrical release on December 23, 2026.
Directed by John Rice and written by Thurop Van Orman, the third instalment reunites the franchise's original voice cast, including Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Rachel Bloom as Silver and Danny McBride as Bomb. The sequel also introduces several new cast members, including Emma Myers, Walker Scobell, Marcello Hernández, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Keke Palmer, Lily James, Sam Richardson, MrBeast and Salish Matter.
According to the newly released trailer, Red faces his biggest challenge yet as he balances fatherhood while helping save the world. The film continues the adventures of the iconic Angry Birds characters following the commercial success of the first two movies.
Produced by John Cohen, Dan Chuba, Carla Connor and Namit Malhotra, The Angry Birds Movie 3 is presented by Paramount Pictures in association with SEGA and Rovio Entertainment. The franchise has earned more than $500 million at the global box office, while also finding continued success on streaming platforms.
Grammy-winning composer Heitor Pereira returns to score the third film after composing music for the previous instalments. Animation is once again handled by DNEG Animation, with Jeanie Chang serving as production designer and Francesca Natale as character designer.
The Angry Birds Movie 3 will be released exclusively in cinemas on December 23, positioning the animated sequel as one of the major family releases of the 2026 holiday season.
