Karachi trader martyred in Balochistan laid to rest amid calls for justice
Grieving family, fellow traders demand action as officials remain conspicuously silent

The Karachi-based businessman who fell victim to terrorist firing in Balochistan's Dasht area was laid to rest on Sunday, as grief-stricken family, friends, and fellow traders bid him a tearful farewell amid sighs and sobs.
The funeral prayer for the deceased trader, Ali Murtaza Jameel, was offered after Zuhr prayers at Rehmani Mosque on Tariq Road, where a large number of mourners, including relatives, acquaintances, and members of the business community, participated.
Later, the body was consigned to the earth at Tariq Road graveyard in an atmosphere of profound sorrow.
Trade leaders have strongly condemned the brazen incident and called upon the government to take immediate notice, trace the perpetrators, and bring them to justice. Speaking to media representatives, Rizwan Irfan, President of the Karachi Electronic Dealers Association, termed the killing a tragic episode and an act of blatant terrorism.
"Our colleague had visited Quetta with his family for the first time when his vehicle came under attack," Irfan said.
"Ali Murtaza sustained a fatal bullet wound to his chest, while his wife was critically injured after receiving five bullets.
She is currently under treatment at a private hospital. His young daughters, by a miracle, survived the attack," he added.
Irfan expressed anguish over the brutality of the assailants, saying: "The terrorists showed no mercy - what were they doing to a family?"
