Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid split after more than 10 years together

Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid have reportedly ended their relationship after more than 10 years together

Courteney Cox and Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid have reportedly ended their relationship after more than 10 years together, bringing an end to one of Hollywood's longest-running celebrity romances.

According to People, the couple have split after more than a decade together. The publication confirmed the news after it was first reported by the Daily Mail. Representatives for Cox and McDaid had not publicly commented on the reported breakup at the time of publication.

The pair first met in late 2013 at a star-studded party hosted by the Friends actress. They became engaged nine months later before calling off their engagement in 2015. However, the couple reconciled the following year and remained together without becoming re-engaged.

Cox and McDaid were last seen together publicly at the 2025 US Open. In July 2025, the actress shared a heartfelt birthday tribute to the musician on Instagram, describing him as someone who could "do most anything" and expressing her love for him.

During a 2024 appearance on the Minnie Questions with Minnie Driver podcast, Cox revealed that their earlier breakup had unexpectedly occurred during a couples therapy session. She admitted she was shocked by the split but later described the experience as transformative, saying it helped her develop stronger personal boundaries and better understand herself.

Reflecting on the reconciliation, Cox explained that the time apart ultimately strengthened their relationship by encouraging personal growth for both partners.

Although neither Cox nor McDaid has publicly addressed the latest reports, their reported split marks the end of a relationship that spanned more than a decade and included both public milestones and private challenges.
