PinkPantheress has gone viral after calmly responding to a fan who threw a mobile phone onto the stage during one of her recent performances, with many social media users praising how she handled the situation.
During her set at the Adidas Home of Soccer event, the singer picked up the phone but declined to throw it back into the crowd, explaining that she was concerned about accidentally injuring someone.
"I don't want to throw it back […] Baby if I hit one of these girls in the face I'm liable, we're in America, remember that," PinkPantheress told the audience.
Videos of the moment quickly spread across social media, where many fans applauded her response, saying she prioritised safety over creating a viral concert moment.
One fan wrote, "She handled that perfectly. Funny, but also smart. One bad throw could turn a fun moment into a lawsuit."
Another commented, "she's so incredibly real for this because the urge to throw it back must be high, but the fear of a random american lawsuit is even higher her legal awareness mid-set is top tier."
Others criticised the behaviour of the fan who threw the phone in the first place.
"Fans should learn some manners before attending concerts," one social media user wrote. Another added, "America isn't the problem here. The real issue is fans thinking performers are part of the show and can be treated however they want."
Some users compared the situation to previous incidents involving Cardi B, with one fan commenting, "She is too modest, she needs to pull a Cardi asap."
PinkPantheress has not commented further beyond her onstage remarks, but her response has continued to circulate online.
