Britney Spears has reportedly sparked concern among some family members and friends after revealing she wants to have another child.
The singer shared her wish in an Instagram post on Father's Day, where she accompanied a video of herself dancing with comments about wanting to expand her family.
According to Star Magazine, sources claim Spears is "deadly serious" about becoming a mother again and is considering different options.
The publication alleges Spears believes she could still conceive naturally but is also willing to explore surrogacy or adoption if necessary.
The 44-year-old is already the mother of two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Reports also claim she has discussed what she would want in a future partner if she decides to pursue parenthood again.
According to the same report, some people close to Spears have expressed concerns about the timing of such a decision.
The publication claims they believe she should focus on her personal wellbeing before taking on the responsibilities of raising another child.
The reported concerns come after a challenging year for the singer. Earlier reports stated that Spears was arrested in California on suspicion of driving under the influence before entering a rehabilitation programme.
She later resolved the case by pleading guilty to a lesser charge and accepting probation alongside an alcohol education programme.
