Taylor Frankie Paul’s previously shelved season of The Bachelorette may still find its way to television, according to a new report suggesting ABC is considering airing the season in the coming weeks.

The reality television personality, best known for appearing on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, was announced as the lead of a new season of The Bachelorette earlier this year. However, ABC later paused plans for the season following renewed attention surrounding a 2023 incident involving Paul and her former partner, Dakota Mortensen.

In March, ABC confirmed that it would not move forward with the season at that time after a video resurfaced showing an altercation between Paul and Mortensen. Following the incident, reports indicated that Mortensen was granted temporary custody of their young son. The network stated that its priority was supporting the family and addressing the situation responsibly.

Despite the cancellation announcement, a new report from TMZ claims there is now an “excellent chance” that Paul’s season could air as early as mid-July. Sources reportedly familiar with the production told the outlet that discussions are ongoing, though no final decision has been made regarding a premiere date.

ABC has not publicly confirmed the report, and the network has yet to announce any changes to its previous position. As a result, the future of the season remains uncertain.

The development has sparked renewed interest among fans of The Bachelorette, many of whom have questioned whether the filmed season would ever be released. If the report proves accurate, viewers could soon see Taylor Frankie Paul’s journey unfold despite the controversy that initially halted the project.

For now, neither ABC nor Paul has issued an official update regarding the show's potential return.
