Country singer Bailey Zimmerman has publicly addressed the criminal charges he faces in New Mexico, apologising to fans and the Pueblo of Sandia following an alleged hotel room damage incident.

According to TMZ, Zimmerman issued a statement after authorities filed charges linked to an incident at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque. The singer is facing one felony charge of criminal damage to property and one misdemeanor charge related to allegedly obtaining services without payment.

In his statement, Zimmerman apologised to the Pueblo of Sandia and the resort, saying he never intended to be disrespectful and takes full responsibility for his actions. He also expressed regret to fans who were affected when his scheduled performance was cancelled.

“To my fans who bought tickets and showed up expecting a performance, I am so sorry,” Zimmerman said, adding that he understands the responsibilities that come with being a professional musician.

The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred after Zimmerman’s concert was cancelled. Reports claim the country star caused approximately $16,000 in damage to his hotel room. Allegations also include an unpaid bar tab of around $400.

Zimmerman stated that he is taking the legal matter seriously and is committed to learning from the experience. He thanked fans for holding him accountable while continuing to support his career.

The singer, known for hits including Rock and a Hard Place, remains an active presence on the country music touring circuit. Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, he is currently scheduled for upcoming performances.

The case remains ongoing, and no court outcome has been determined. Zimmerman’s statement marks his first public response since details of the charges became public.
