HBO Max releases the 'Stuart Fails to Save the Universe' trailer, featuring Big Bang Theory favourites and new worlds

HBO Max has released the trailer for Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, the latest spin-off from The Big Bang Theory franchise, ahead of its July 23 premiere.
The 10-episode comedy series follows comic book store owner Stuart Bloom, played by Kevin Sussman, as he attempts to repair reality after accidentally breaking a device created by Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter. The incident triggers a multiverse crisis, forcing Stuart to find a way to restore the universe.
Stuart is joined on his mission by his girlfriend Denise, played by Lauren Lapkus, geologist Bert, portrayed by Brian Posehn, and quantum physicist Barry Kripke, played by John Ross Bowie. Throughout the series, the group encounters alternate-universe versions of familiar characters from The Big Bang Theory.
The HBO Max series will release episodes weekly on Thursdays. It was created by Chuck Lorre, Zak Penn and Bill Prady, who also serve as writers and executive producers. Kyle Newacheck is also an executive producer and directed multiple episodes.
Produced by Chuck Lorre Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe marks the fourth series set within The Big Bang Theory universe. The original CBS sitcom ran for 12 seasons, while prequel series Young Sheldon concluded after seven seasons. Another spin-off, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, premiered on CBS in 2024.
The upcoming series also features original theme music from Emmy and Grammy Award-winning composer Danny Elfman, known for his work on films including The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride.
With its multiverse storyline and returning franchise connections, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe expands the world of The Big Bang Theory with a new comedic adventure.
