David Beckham’s son Romeo Beckham is stepping into the world of acting with his first major film role in Forty Love, a new tennis romance drama directed by Pierre-Ange Carklotti.

According to Variety, Studiocanal has unveiled the first look at Beckham’s acting debut, marking a new chapter for the son of football icon David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham.

The upcoming movie follows Sacha Gallo, a talented tennis player who has spent years training with his father while aiming for a major victory in Paris. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he meets a charismatic new rival, played by Romeo Beckham, who challenges his ambitions, identity and understanding of competition.

The film’s synopsis reveals that the story explores Sacha’s emotional journey as he faces a new type of opponent, with romance becoming a powerful force that changes how he views success and himself.

Forty Love also features a star-studded cast including Paul Kircher, Guillaume Canet, Benjamin Voisin and legendary French actress Catherine Deneuve. The movie’s soundtrack will feature music from 070 Shake and Johan Lenox.

Directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti, a renowned fashion photographer making his feature film debut, the project is produced by Hugo Sélignac and Paco de Bary through Chi-Fou-Mi Productions. Studiocanal and Manna Studios are attached as co-producers.

Before entering acting, Romeo Beckham built a career in fashion, modelling for major luxury brands including Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga. Producers have described Forty Love as a romantic coming-of-age story exploring love, ambition and the pressure of professional sports.

Studiocanal will manage worldwide sales for the film, which is set to release theatrically in France on November 25, 2026.
