Tom Holland and Zendaya have revealed a behind-the-scenes look at their love for the Spider-Man video games, admitting that playing together does not always go smoothly.

In a new interview with IGN Nordic, the couple discussed their shared appreciation for Insomniac Games’ popular Marvel’s Spider-Man franchise while promoting their upcoming Marvel movie Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Holland praised the games, calling them “absolutely sensational” and explaining that he and Zendaya both enjoy the experience.

However, Zendaya admitted she is not naturally skilled at video games and prefers playing on story mode. The actress explained that she enjoys completing challenges herself and does not always appreciate Holland stepping in to help.

“I get really frustrated because I want to do everything myself,” Zendaya said, revealing that Holland often tries to take over when she gets stuck.

The pair also recalled a difficult moment from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, involving MJ and the Scream boss battle. Zendaya explained that the sequence stressed her out, while Holland joked that she eventually needed his help because the section was particularly challenging.

The conversation also touched on the influence of the Spider-Man games on the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Holland said he loves the games and that their impact on the film was important, without revealing specific details about the story.

Beyond gaming, Holland and Zendaya discussed the future of Peter Parker following the memory-wipe storyline from Spider-Man: No Way Home. Holland teased that one person still remembers Peter Parker’s true identity as Spider-Man.

With Spider-Man 4 continuing to generate excitement, fans are watching closely for more details about Holland’s next chapter as the iconic Marvel hero.
