Kylie Minogue and Quentin Tarantino’s secret Wales shoot revealed as Jamie Adams’ new movie 'Tangled Up in Blue'

The mystery surrounding Kylie Minogue and Quentin Tarantino’s surprise filming in Wales has been cleared up, with the pair confirmed to be starring in a new movie titled Tangled Up in Blue.

The pop star and the acclaimed filmmaker were recently spotted shooting scenes in the Welsh seaside town of Porthcawl, sparking speculation among locals and film fans. Production took place at locations including Newton Church and the Saltwater Inn, where scenes involving a funeral and wake were reportedly filmed.

The project reunites Tarantino with Welsh director Jamie Adams, who previously worked with the filmmaker on the independent movie Only What We Carry. The new film marks another acting appearance for Tarantino, who will star opposite Minogue in the feature backed by New York-based production company Visor Entertainment.

According to Variety, Tangled Up in Blue also features an impressive ensemble cast including Jason Isaacs, Allison Williams, Sofia Boutella and RZA. Welsh actors Karen Paullada, Julian Lewis Jones, Craig Russell and Siwan Morris are also part of the project.

Adams, known for his improvised filmmaking approach inspired by the French New Wave, previously revealed that he personally reached out to Tarantino with the role. The director said he believed Tarantino’s natural storytelling ability and conversational style made him perfect for the character.

The filmmaker sent Tarantino the story outline and later connected with him over Zoom, where the pair discussed everything from cinema to Welsh culture before officially joining forces.

With Kylie Minogue, Quentin Tarantino and Jamie Adams collaborating on Tangled Up in Blue, the project has quickly become one of the most talked-about upcoming films, although further details about the plot and release date remain under wraps.
