Siblings arrested over house theft
Police have arrested a domestic worker and her accomplice, identified as her brother, for allegedly stealing valuables from a woman's house five days ago.
A spokesperson said the suspects were siblings and were taken into custody following an investigation that utilised technical surveillance and human intelligence sources. Police have recovered stolen items worth more than Rs2.6 million, including local and foreign currency, gold jewellery, luxury bags, watches and other valuables.
The recovered property includes one-and-a-half tolas of gold jewellery, Rs503,000 in cash, 1,400 Saudi riyals, 125 Azerbaijani manats, and 105 US dollars, he said.
