Youth commits suicide after kidnapping, gang rape

A young man in Qila Saifullah district of Balochistan allegedly died by suicide after being kidnapped, gang raped and subjected to blackmail by three suspects, according to police and family members.

Police said the victim, identified as Zafarullah Shaheezai Jalalzai Kakar, was allegedly abducted on June 13 by three men who reportedly filmed him in a compromising condition, raped him and later abandoned him by the roadside.

The victim remained under treatment at a hospital in Quetta for three days. After returning home, the suspects allegedly sent the video to his family via WhatsApp and demanded a meeting, threatening to release the footage on social media if their demands were not met.

According to police, Zafarullah informed his family about the alleged blackmail before taking his own life. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

Speaking to the media, the victim's uncle, Maulvi Ruhullah, said Zafarullah had been severely traumatised by the gang rape and threats.
