Brad Pitt’s son Pax reportedly remains close to his father despite siblings extrangement

Sources claim the 22 year old maintains ties with paternal relatives despite reported distance from Brad Pitt

Pax Jolie-Pitt reportedly continues to maintain relationships with members of Brad Pitt’s family, even as several of his siblings have moved away from using the Pitt surname.

According to sources who spoke to Page Six, the 22 year old recently attended a family gathering celebrating the engagement of his cousin Sydney Pitt to Archimede Jerome. The celebration reportedly included Brad Pitt’s sister Julie Pitt Neal, niece Reagan Pitt and other relatives.

One source told the publication that Pax remains connected to his father’s side of the family and still spends time with them regularly. However, a second source claimed that while he enjoys a relationship with extended relatives, he currently has little contact with Brad Pitt himself.

Representatives for both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie did not comment on the report.

The latest claims come amid continuing changes within the Jolie-Pitt family. Several of Pax’s siblings have recently taken steps to distance themselves from the Pitt surname.

Zahara, 21, reportedly filed paperwork seeking to legally become Zahara Jolie. Earlier this year, her older brother Maddox, 24, also reportedly requested the removal of Pitt from his surname and has already used Maddox Jolie professionally, including on credits for Couture, the film directed by Alice Winocour in which Angelina Jolie starred.

Shiloh legally removed Pitt from her surname after turning 18 in 2024. Meanwhile, reports earlier this month indicated that Knox used the name Knox Jolie on his high school diploma during his graduation ceremony in Los Angeles.

Despite the ongoing surname changes, Pax has remained visible alongside his mother and siblings. Earlier this month, he joined Angelina Jolie and sister Shiloh at the Support+Feed Pickleball Invitational and Game Night in Los Angeles, where the family participated in the charity event together.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finalised their lengthy divorce proceedings in December 2024, more than eight years after Jolie initially filed for divorce in September 2016. Since then, public attention has frequently focused on the relationship between Pitt and his six children.

While reports suggest that some of the siblings have distanced themselves from their father, the Page Six sources claim Pax has chosen to maintain at least part of his connection through Brad Pitt’s extended family.

Neither Pax nor any members of the Jolie-Pitt family have publicly addressed the latest report.
