Jelly Roll has addressed his divorce from Bunnie Xo publicly for the first time, using a recent concert appearance to respond to speculation surrounding their separation.

Performing in Saratoga Springs, New York on Thursday, June 18, the country artist, real name Jason DeFord, told the audience during his Little ASS Shed Tour that he would be speaking about the matter only once on stage.

“While we're talking about liars, the internet is a liar too,” he said. “This is the only time and the only city I'm going to speak about this, so break your camera phones out now.”

In comments shared to his Instagram account, Jelly Roll said he had spoken with Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, earlier in the day and described their continued bond.

“Me and my wife are best friends, we will always be best friends. I will love her. She will probably be the only woman I'll ever love the way I loved her,” he said.

He also directly addressed rumours of infidelity linked to the breakup.

“Nobody cheated on nobody,” he said. “She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it.”

His remarks followed Bunnie Xo’s own comments on her Dumb Blonde podcast, where she also denied cheating speculation and stated the couple intend to remain connected despite their separation.

She said the divorce proceedings are expected to be finalised within weeks and confirmed ongoing plans to have a child together.

“We're still having a baby together,” she said.

Jelly Roll echoed her statements on stage, telling fans, “Every word of it is the truth,” and referring to their continued relationship dynamic.

The pair married in August 2016. Court filings from May list their separation date as May 9 and cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for divorce proceedings in Williamson County, Tennessee.
