Steven McBee Jr. opens up about his breakup with Allie Eklund, healing journey and life after their public split

Steven McBee Jr. is opening up about his split from Allie Eklund and revealing where their relationship stands after their highly publicised breakup.

The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys star confirmed that he and Eklund are no longer in contact following their separation earlier this year. Speaking exclusively to Us Weekly, McBee said he returned Eklund’s belongings but the former couple has not communicated since the split.

The breakup gained public attention after a Stagecoach controversy played out online, with both McBee and Eklund sharing different accounts of what happened. McBee previously accused Eklund of being unfaithful, while Eklund denied the claims and shared posts disputing his allegations. Following the fallout, McBee apologised publicly and began focusing on personal growth and therapy.

McBee said watching his relationship with Eklund appear on season 3 of The McBee Dynasty will be difficult, especially as the episodes include conversations about engagement, marriage and their future together before the breakup.

The reality star also opened up about his healing journey, revealing that he attended two trauma retreats after the split. He said the experiences focused on emotional triggers, childhood trauma, mindfulness and emotional regulation. He has continued therapy and added practices including journaling, meditation and yoga into his daily routine.

McBee said he remains grateful for Eklund and her family despite how their relationship ended, describing the experience as a major learning moment. He added that he is not currently dating and is instead focusing on himself, his family and his business.

The reality star also addressed speculation about his connection with Farmer Wants a Wife alum Chelsi Blayne, clarifying that they are only friends.
