Strengthening Ties: Pak-Saudi armies’ joint exercise

An opening ceremony of a three-week-long joint exercise was held on Monday near Jhelum.

RAWALPINDI: An opening ceremony of a three-week-long joint exercise (AL-SAMSAAM-IV-2011) between Pakistan Army and Royal Saudi Land Forces was held on Monday near Jhelum, according to an ISPR press release.Speaking at the ceremony, Inspector General Training and Evaluation Lieutenant General Muzamil Hussain, who was the chief guest, said that Saudi Arabia has always been a special friend of Pakistan, and the armies of both countries maintain close ties. Defence Attache of Saudia Arabia Commodore Abdullah Saeed Ghamdi also attended the ceremony and said that both the nations have long lasting and strong historical relationship.
