Netflix has released the first trailer for Heartstopper Forever, the upcoming feature-length film that will conclude Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring’s love story following the hit series’ three-season run.

The Heartstopper Forever trailer offers fans a first look at the final chapter of the beloved romance, with Kit Connor returning as Nick and Joe Locke reprising his role as Charlie. The Netflix movie is set to begin streaming globally on July 17.

Created by Alice Oseman, who adapted the story from her bestselling Heartstopper graphic novels, the upcoming film serves as the continuation and conclusion of the Netflix series. Oseman wrote the screenplay, while Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice) directs the feature.

Connor and Locke are also returning as executive producers for the final instalment. The film is expected to bring back several familiar faces from the series, including William Gao as Tao, Yasmin Finney as Elle, Corinna Brown as Tara, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy, Tobie Donovan as Isaac, Rhea Norwood as Imogen and Leila Khan as Sahar.

Since its debut in 2022, Heartstopper has become one of Netflix’s most popular coming-of-age dramas, earning praise for its emotional storytelling and representation of young love, friendship and identity.

The third season ended with Nick and Charlie facing major changes as Nick prepared for university while Charlie gained confidence after navigating personal struggles. The final film is expected to explore the future of their relationship as they deal with distance, growing up and new challenges.

With Heartstopper Forever, Netflix will deliver the long-awaited conclusion to one of its most celebrated teen romance franchises.
