Sharjeel says Karachi belongs to all
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that Karachi does not belong to any single party, but is the economic hub of Pakistan and the capital of Sindh.
Responding to MQM-P chief Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui's statement, Memon said, "The Karachi of before MQM was not defined by terror and fear, but by the fragrance of life.
It was a city free of extortion, killings over hides, bodies in sacks, and linguistic prejudice."
"The people are not unaware of history. They know who gave the city peace and who gave it bodies in sacks," he added.
The senior minister said the Sindh government is addressing Karachi's problems through practical measures, not political slogans or theatrics. "The Sindh government has launched large-scale development projects across Karachi.
The progress visible in Karachi today is the result of the Pakistan Peoples Party's efforts," he said.
"Those who claim credit for Karachi's development for their own party are well known to the people of Karachi," he remarked. He further said Karachi is not a city of hatred and division, but a 'Mini Pakistan' built on development, peace and unity.
