Hot, dry spell to continue

ISLAMABAD:

Hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in most parts of the country over the next 24 hours, according to the PMD.

The Met Office, however, forecast rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms at isolated locations in Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas.

Among major cities, temperatures recorded on Monday morning were 30°C in Karachi, 26°C in Peshawar, 24°C in Lahore, 22°C in Islamabad, 19°C in Quetta, 17°C in Gilgit and Muzaffarabad, and 14°C in Murree.

Meanwhile, in IIOJK, partly cloudy weather with chances of isolated rain is expected.
