FX has officially announced the return date for Adults, with the comedy series set to begin its second season later this summer.

The complete eight episode season will debut on August 27, 2026. Viewers in the United States will be able to watch the entire season at once on Hulu and through FXX on demand beginning at 9pm ET. FXX will also air two episodes each week. International audiences will be able to stream the series on Disney+.

Alongside the premiere announcement, FX revealed several new guest stars joining the series. The upcoming season will feature appearances from Susie Essman, Raven Symoné, Gaten Matarazzo, Jake Shane, Isaac Powell, Ben Marshall and Zosia Mamet among others.

Created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, Adults follows a group of friends in their twenties attempting to navigate careers, relationships and family life while living together in New York City.

The ensemble cast includes Malik Elassal as Samir, Lucy Freyer as Billie, Jack Innanen as Paul Baker, Amita Rao as Issa and Owen Thiele as Anton. The series centres on the close friendships between the group and the awkward realities that come with growing up.

According to the official description for Season 2, the new episodes will continue exploring the insecurities and mistakes that define early adulthood. The friends will face questions about identity, work and family while trying to avoid difficult conversations and protect the people around them.

The synopsis teases storylines involving fake identification mishaps, complicated family relationships and the struggle to accept changing priorities as the characters grow older. Despite the chaos surrounding them, the group continues to rely on one another through both successes and embarrassing failures.

The comedy debuted to positive reviews for its relatable portrayal of life in one’s twenties and its ensemble chemistry. Season 2 aims to build on those strengths while introducing fresh challenges and new faces.

Adults is executive produced by creators Kronengold and Shaw alongside Nick Kroll, Sarah Naftalis, Jonathan Krisel, Alicia Van Couvering and Rob Rosell. The series is produced by FX Productions.

With all eight episodes arriving on the same day, fans will have the option to binge the entire season immediately when Adults returns on August 27.
