Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater reportedly end relationship after 3 years together
Sources close to them claim the pair 'realized they were better off friends than in a committed relationship'

Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have ended their relationship after three years together, according to reports.
The pair quietly separated several months ago but have remained on good terms following the breakup. A source told Page Six, “Ariana and Ethan broke up several months ago but they’ve remained friends since then and have nothing but respect and admiration for one another.”
The insider added, “This wasn’t a decision they took lightly but realized they were better off friends than in a committed relationship.”
According to the source, Grande is now focused on her professional commitments. “Ariana is feeling really happy and focused on the next chapter with her ‘Eternal Sunshine’ tour and the upcoming release of her album ‘Petal,'” the source said.
Grande’s forthcoming album, scheduled for release on July 31, is reportedly not inspired by the end of the relationship.
The pair met while filming the movie adaptation of Wicked. At the time, both were married to other people. Grande was married to real estate agent Dalton Gomez, while Slater was married to Lilly Jay, with whom he shares a son, Ezra.
Their relationship became the subject of significant public attention in 2023 following reports that they were dating. In an interview with Page Six at the time, Jay said: “[Ariana’s] the story, really. Not a girl’s girl. My family is just collateral damage.”
A source subsequently defended the couple, telling the outlet: “[Jay is] rightfully upset because her marriage fell apart, but Ariana and Ethan didn’t do anything wrong.”
Despite widespread interest in their romance, Grande and Slater largely kept their relationship private. Grande recently launched her Eternal Sunshine Tour in California, marking the beginning of her next professional chapter following the reported split.
