Fans were quick to react after Rihanna and BLACKPINK member Jennie were spotted together during A$AP Rocky’s performance at the 2026 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York.

The two music stars were seen watching A$AP Rocky’s set from the crowd on June 7 after Jennie completed her own headline performance at the festival.

Video footage shared online showed Rihanna and Jennie standing together under purple stage lighting, smiling, dancing, hugging and chatting as they enjoyed the performance.

The appearance immediately generated discussion across social media, with many fans speculating about the possibility of a future collaboration between the pair.

The excitement was heightened by Jennie’s long-standing admiration for Rihanna, whom she previously described as a major musical influence during an interview with ELLE Korea in 2017.

Several fan reactions focused on the prospect of the artists working together. One user wrote, “that collab is coming y'all”.

Other posts included, “My worlds collide once again”, “WE ARE GETTING THAT COLLAB”, and “Imagine that your role model is someone who shows you so much consideration; a dream for many, but a reality for Jennie”.

The sighting came on a landmark night for Jennie, who became the first K-pop solo artist to headline the Governors Ball Music Festival. Her set featured tracks from her album Ruby alongside three unreleased songs that made their live debut.

The three-day festival, held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, concluded on June 7 with performances from artists including Lorde, Stray Kids, Jennie and A$AP Rocky.

Jennie is scheduled to continue her festival run with headline appearances at Roskilde Festival, Open'er Festival, Mad Cool Festival and Lollapalooza later this summer.
