Hybrid system is PML-N, PPP's lifeline, says Baloch
Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch has said that the lifeline of both PML-N and PPP lies in the hybrid system, accusing the parties of misleading the establishment and the public simultaneously to protect their interests.
Addressing a large gathering of workers and citizens during his visit to a JI membership drive camp in Hyderabad, Baloch said PPP, PML-N and PTI had together approved constitutional amendments for military courts and extension in the army chief's tenure, yet now they were talking about democracy and supremacy of the constitution.
He said the loud claims of opposition parties and their failure to deliver any breakthrough on ground had only made the non-representative government and establishment more powerful.
Baloch alleged that both PML-N and PPP were "experts in fake wrestling" and continued providing unconstitutional, undemocratic services on the same payroll.
"Their lifeline is the hybrid system. Both are fooling the establishment and the public at the same time to secure their interests," he said.
Criticising PPP's rule in Sindh, he said the party had ruined the province, while wadera culture had enslaved people and "daku raj" had made life miserable for Sindhis.
He termed the current local government system "powerless" and said it failed to deliver basic facilities to citizens.
Highlighting the political crisis, Baloch said politics in Pakistan is in a deadlock with no dialogue, only blame games, allowing the establishment to dominate the country unchecked. He described the country's political and economic situation as "highly alarming" and called for replacing the system of "oppression and force".
