Four oil tankers, carrying supplies for the Nato forces in Afghanistan, came under fire at the Indus Highway.
SUKKUR:
Four oil tankers, carrying supplies for the Nato forces in Afghanistan, came under fire at the Indus Highway, in Shikarpur district on Monday morning. Armed men opened fire on the convoy near Lodra, setting two tankers ablaze. Oil leaked from the bullet holes from the other two tankers. Sultankot SHO Noor Mohammad Jakhro said that no one accepted responsibility for the attack. He believed that the incident might have been staged because sometimes the drivers deliberately set fire to their vehicles, after selling the fuel, to claim insurance money. The fire could not be put out till 5 pm.
