Gracie Abrams is showing support for Olivia Rodrigo’s latest musical collaboration after Rodrigo surprised fans at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.

The “That’s So True” singer shared a clip on her Instagram story of Rodrigo performing “what’s wrong with me” with Robert Smith, the iconic frontman of The Cure. The performance marked the live debut of the duet and quickly became one of the festival’s most talked-about moments.

Rodrigo introduced the song onstage as her “first collaboration,” telling the crowd she was thrilled the track existed “with the person that it exists with.” The duet will appear on her upcoming third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, which is set for release on June 12.

The collaboration builds on the growing connection between Rodrigo and Smith. The two previously performed together at Glastonbury in 2025, and Smith later revealed in an interview with Vogue that they had spent time working together in the studio.

Abrams’ reaction highlights the strong friendship between the two young pop stars. Abrams opened for Rodrigo on the Sour Tour in 2022, and both artists have repeatedly praised each other’s songwriting and artistry in interviews.

Fans online celebrated Abrams’ Instagram post, seeing it as another sign of solidarity among today’s leading female artists. The clip also fueled anticipation for Rodrigo’s new album, with many praising the unexpected blend of Rodrigo’s pop style and Smith’s signature gothic-rock influence.

With what’s wrong with me now circulating across social media, excitement around Rodrigo’s next era continues to grow.
