PML-N hits out at PPP over Sindh 'decline'
Provincial spox slams governance, cites water crisis and civic woes in Karachi

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh chapter spokesperson Asad Usmani has strongly criticised PPP leaders, including Sharmila Faruqui, over their recent statements, saying their party's performance in Sindh spoke for itself.
Usmani said that if Sharmila wished to see "Paris," she should visit Lahore, adding that the mayor of Sukkur should refrain from playing the "Sindh card."
He alleged that the people of Sindh were forced to live in miserable conditions, claiming that development in the province had come to a standstill. "One only needs to look at Sindh to judge the PPP's performance, where mismanagement is visible everywhere," he said.
Usmani further claimed that while corruption had flourished during the PPP's tenure, people of Sindh continued to be deprived of basic facilities. He said that no sensible voter would support the PPP after witnessing the situation in the province.
Referring to Karachi, he said the country's largest metropolitan city was facing a severe shortage of potable water, with several localities not receiving supply through pipelines, while tanker operators continued to function.
Highlighting civic issues, he said overflowing sewage, heaps of garbage and broken roads had made life increasingly difficult for Karachiites. He also alleged that the PPP had failed to provide government employment opportunities to the youth over the past 18 years.
The PML-N leader claimed that his party believed in public service rather than "hollow slogans" and claimed that if elections were held in Sindh today, PML-N would secure a clear majority.
