KARACHI:

Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday assured British investors and multinational companies operating in Sindh of swift resolution of regulatory and administrative issues, reiterating the government's commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment.

Chairing a high-level Pakistan-UK roundtable hosted in collaboration with the British deputy high commission, CM Shah said Sindh would continue reforms aimed at simplifying regulations, ensuring policy continuity and facilitating both new and existing investments.

"The purpose of this roundtable is not merely to listen but to act," CM Shah said, adding that concerns raised by investors would be treated as urgent matters requiring immediate and concrete steps.

The chief minister acknowledged key challenges faced by investors, including regulatory hurdles, taxation, infrastructure gaps, utility issues and lack of inter-agency coordination. He stressed that the provincial government would work closely with the private sector to remove barriers impeding growth. The CM pointed to efforts to digitise public services, streamline administrative procedures and improve institutional coordination.
