LAHORE:
An additional district and sessions judge on Monday issued bail-able arrest warrants for the Anti-Corruption Establishment director for not taking action against the Services Hospital medical superintendent and five other doctors in a petition alleging medical negligence. Petitioner Shahid Siddiqi had submitted that doctors at Services Hospital made him purchase medicines worth Rs125,000 from their ‘favourite’ pharmacy and later refused to treat her at the hospital. Judge Ijaz Butt had directed the ACE director at the previous hearing to register a case against the doctors accused of negligence and malpractice. The hearing was adjourned till October 1.
