Silent Hill: Townfall is set to launch on September 24 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC, with Konami and Screen Burn Interactive confirming new details about the upcoming entry in the long-running horror franchise.
Set in 1996, the first-person psychological horror game follows protagonist Simon Ordell as he returns to the remote Scottish island of St. Amelia.
The island is shrouded in dense fog and appears abandoned, but players will uncover secrets hidden beneath its surface as they explore the town and investigate its mysteries.
Townfall continues Silent Hill’s focus on psychological horror while introducing new gameplay mechanics. A key feature is a portable CRTV device that allows players to intercept unstable signals and uncover clues connected to the island’s past.
According to the developers, environmental puzzles are closely tied to the narrative, with fragmented memories and hidden lore revealed through exploration rather than traditional progression systems.
Players will encounter hostile creatures throughout the game, with combat and stealth both playing important roles. In some situations, avoiding enemies may be the safest option.
During his investigation, Simon also crosses paths with Zoe, a nurse working at a local clinic who questions his unexpected arrival on the island.
The announcement marks another major release for the Silent Hill franchise following the launch of Silent Hill 2 Remake in 2024 and Silent Hill: f in 2025.
Pre-orders are now available. The Standard Edition includes the full game and exclusive CRTV cosmetic skins.
The Deluxe Edition adds an alternative outfit for Simon, a digital soundtrack, an interactive artbook and 48 hours of early access ahead of launch.
Silent Hill: Townfall will release on September 24 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
