KARACHI:

Sindh's Senior Minister Sharjeel lashed out at MQM-Pakistan, accusing the party of attempting to remain politically relevant through what he called "baseless allegations" and "outdated narratives."

In a statement, Sharjeel said MQM-P's politics had historically revolved around slogans, accusations and "manufacturing crises," adding that the party was once again repeating the same pattern.

He said MQM-P itself had, over time, made provincial autonomy, constitutional powers and the local government system controversial. "Now the same political approach is being recycled," he added.

The senior minister said ongoing development projects in Karachi were "ground realities" that could not be dismissed through propaganda. He cited initiatives such as the Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit project, Shahrah-e-Bhutto, and other infrastructure schemes as evidence of the Sindh government's commitment to "practical work and tangible progress."The minister maintained that any legal or administrative concerns regarding public spaces should be addressed through courts and relevant institutions rather than political statements.

He expressed regret over what he described as attempts by "elements with a history of failed governance and vested interests" to repackage themselves as public representatives.
