Jennifer Lopez makes appearance change to detach from ex Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez appeared to reveal an altered version of a tattoo linked to former husband Ben Affleck in a recent social media post shared during the Memorial Day holiday.

The singer and actor, 56, posted a series of photographs on Instagram with the caption: “Spending the day with the people I love. Happy Memorial Day everybody ❤️🤍💙.”

One image in the carousel showed Lopez embracing her son, Maximilian “Max” Muñiz, 18, while wearing a backless floor-length dress.

The photograph drew attention online after fans noticed changes to a tattoo on her ribcage that she originally debuted during her marriage to Affleck.

In February 2023, Lopez revealed matching tattoos she and Affleck had chosen to mark their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple.

At the time, she shared a now-deleted Instagram post with the caption, “Commitment ♾️ Happy Valentine's Day my love 🤍.”

The tattoo featured an infinity symbol with the names “Jennifer” and “Ben” written in cursive, crossed by an arrow above her ribcage. Affleck also revealed a tattoo featuring crossed arrows with the letters “J” and “B”.

In Lopez’s recent social media post, her own name remained visible in the tattoo design, while Affleck’s name appeared to have been covered.

The former couple first met in 2002 while filming Gigli and became engaged later that year before ending their relationship in 2004. They reunited in 2021, became engaged again in 2022 and married later that year.

Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024 on the second anniversary of their Georgia wedding ceremony. Their divorce was finalised in January 2025.
