Jimmy Kimmel mocks Donald Trump over Don Jr. wedding absence

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel mocked President Donald Trump after the former president explained why he did not attend Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding celebration in the Bahamas.

During the May 26 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel reacted to Trump’s statement on Truth Social regarding his absence from the private ceremony, where Donald Trump Jr. married Bettina Anderson. Trump wrote that “circumstances pertaining to Government” and his “love for the United States of America” prevented him from attending the event.

According to reports, the multi-day celebration took place at the luxury Little Pipe Cay resort in the Bahamas and was attended by several members of the Trump family, including Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, and their partners. Donald Trump Jr.’s children from his previous marriage also reportedly attended the event.

Kimmel additionally joked about Trump’s marital history while referencing the president’s congratulatory message to the newlyweds. The comedian has repeatedly targeted Trump in recent weeks through political monologues and commentary on pop culture moments connected to the former president.

The latest remarks continue a long-running public feud between Kimmel and Trump, who has previously criticised the ABC host and called for network executives to remove him from television.

According to reports, Trump has not publicly responded to Kimmel’s latest comments.
