Dennis Quaid responds to questions over support for Spencer Pratt’s LA mayoral bid

Dennis Quaid backs Spencer Pratt for LA mayor as he responds sharply to questions about his political support update

Dennis Quaid has drawn attention after giving a blunt response when asked about his support for Spencer Pratt’s campaign for mayor of Los Angeles, according to Fox News Digital.

Speaking during the 2nd Annual Military & Veteran Entertainment Awards Gala on May 23, Quaid was questioned about why he backs the former reality television star’s political bid. The Parent Trap actor initially responded with a brief endorsement, saying, “Go Spencer Pratt,” before being pressed further for explanation.

When asked to elaborate, Quaid replied sharply, “Why? What are you talking about? Why? Just look around, man,” in remarks reported by Fox News Digital.

The comments come amid ongoing discussion about Pratt’s unexpected entry into Los Angeles politics. Best known for The Hills, Pratt announced his campaign for mayor earlier this year, positioning himself as an independent candidate in a race that has attracted widespread media attention.

Quaid has previously been vocal about his criticism of Los Angeles leadership, including Mayor Karen Bass, particularly in relation to wildfire response, city preparedness, and public safety concerns following major fires in the region.

The actor, who has described himself as a “commonsense independent,” has also expressed broader political views that lean conservative and has publicly supported Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

His recent remarks have added further visibility to Pratt’s campaign, which continues to generate both support and criticism across social media and entertainment circles.

Neither Spencer Pratt nor Los Angeles officials have publicly responded to Quaid’s comments at the time of publication.
