Airport screening tightened after Ebola emergency
In light of the WHO declaration of the Ebola outbreak in Congo and Uganda as a global emergency, Pakistan has intensified screening measures at airports across the country, along with other precautionary steps.
According to the Ministry of National Health Services, the current Ebola outbreak remains confined to the African countries of Congo and Uganda, citing WHO reports that no cases have been detected outside Africa so far.
Travelers intending to visit African countries have been advised to review relevant travel and health guidelines before departure.
