KARACHI:

Lahore Lions’ all-rounder Jehangir Mirza has flown back after falling ill, just two days after arriving in Karachi to take part in the  National Twenty20 underway at the National Stadium.

While Mirza’s final report was yet to be issued, he was sent back by the Lahore team management on suspicion of dengue virus after initial blood tests showed sharp drop in platelets.

A Pakistan Cricket Board official said confirming anything would be premature, before adding that  the board has allowed the player to travel back as a precautionary measure.
