DC suspends officials over cattle market lapses

PESHAWAR:

Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Sanaullah Khan on Wednesday expressed strong displeasure over inadequate facilities at the cattle market on GT Road and immediately suspended three officials of the Livestock Department for negligence, while also ordering a departmental inquiry against them.

The Deputy Commissioner visited the Eidul Azha cattle market established on GT Road to personally review the arrangements. He inspected cleanliness, security, drinking water supply, and other public facilities at the site. Assistant Commissioner (Sadar) Husaina Khan, TMO Chamkani, officials of the Livestock Department, TMA Chamkani, and representatives of other concerned departments accompanied him during the visit.
