Who is Gabbie Gonzalez? Influencer arrested in alleged plot to murder ex Jack Avery

Social media personality Gabbie Gonzalez has come under renewed public attention following reports of her arrest in California on a felony conspiracy charge linked to an alleged murder-for-hire investigation involving her former partner, singer Jack Avery.

According to TMZ, Gonzalez was first arrested in Humboldt County before being transferred to Los Angeles County, where she was booked on a charge of conspiracy to commit a crime.

Authorities have not publicly disclosed further details regarding the alleged underlying offence, and the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has yet to release additional information.

Gonzalez, whose full name is Gabriela Lauren Gonzalez, is a Florida-born influencer best known for her beach lifestyle, surfing and travel content on Instagram and TikTok.

Born on September 6, 2001, she gained a substantial online following through posts centred on surfing, fashion and daily life, building a social media audience that exceeded 575,000 Instagram followers.

She was also widely known for her relationship with Avery, a member of the former boy band Why Don't We. The pair welcomed a daughter, Lavender May Avery, in 2019 while Avery was at the height of the group’s popularity.

In later years, Gonzalez shared content about motherhood and co-parenting before becoming less active online. Reports also state that she married Cody Clayburn in 2022 before the couple divorced in 2024.

The allegations surrounding the case remain under investigation.
