Married at First Sight UK’s Bradley Skelly breaks silence after Shona Manderson allegations
Bradley Skelly has broken his silence following serious allegations made by his former Married at First Sight UK partner Shona Manderson in a BBC Panorama documentary — sharing two cryptic posts on social media as his lawyers formally deny all claims.
Manderson, who was matched with Skelly on the 2023 series, alleged during the documentary that a non-consensual sex act occurred during filming. She claimed that while intimacy was initially consensual, a previously agreed boundary was crossed.
“In bed, we were being intimate. Consensual, completely consensual,” Manderson said. “My partner came inside me without my consent. We had agreed that we were pulling out.”
Lawyers for Bradley Skelly have strongly disputed the allegations. In a statement issued following the documentary's broadcast, they said Skelly understood the encounter had been consensual and “categorically denies any allegations of sexual misconduct or that he was controlling.” The statement added that the relationship was based on “mutual consent, care and affection.”
Separately, Skelly shared two cryptic messages on his Instagram story: a brief "Amor Fati" quote about embracing every event, and a longer post describing the struggles of "God's selection" and becoming "unshakeable."

Both messages have sparked widespread discussion online, with many fans interpreting them as a subtle response to the allegations, although Skelly has not confirmed any direct reference.
The allegations have intensified scrutiny on Married at First Sight UK, leading Channel 4 to remove previous episodes from its streaming platform and launch an external review into contributor welfare procedures. Channel 4 and production company CPL Productions have stated they are cooperating fully with the investigation while maintaining that appropriate welfare protocols were followed during filming.
